About my work

I bring a real, down-to-earth, and often humorous approach to therapy. I believe that therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or overly clinical to be effective, and that sometimes laughter can be just as important as insight. My style is genuine, relatable, and goal-focused, helping clients feel comfortable while still doing meaningful work.

I most enjoy working with adults, while also having experience supporting older children and teens. Clients often come to me for support with anger, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and stress related to life stages and developmental transitions. I also work with addiction concerns, bipolar disorder, social skills development, ADHD, and intermittent explosive disorder, and I’m experienced in supporting boys and men who may feel less comfortable opening up in traditional therapy settings.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I believe motivation to change is one of the most important factors in therapy, and I work collaboratively with clients who are ready to engage, reflect, and move forward. Early sessions focus on building rapport, clarifying goals, and establishing a clear direction for our work together.

I am affirming of all sexual orientations and identities and strive to create a space where clients feel respected, understood, and supported. I do not currently work with couples, families, or co-parenting, which allows me to focus fully on individual work.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy playing video games and spending time with dogs — interests that often help me connect naturally with clients and keep therapy feeling human and approachable.

Clients can expect a therapist who is honest, engaging, and supportive, with a balance of humor and structure. My goal is to help clients feel understood while also building practical skills that support growth, stability, and meaningful change.
