About My Work
I offer evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy in a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, respected, and supported. I work collaboratively with children, teens, adults, and couples to help them navigate complex emotional, relational, and mental health concerns while building practical skills that support meaningful and lasting change.
I most enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking support, clarity, personal growth, and tools to manage their mental health. Clients often come to me for anxiety, depression, social anxiety, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, trauma, grief and loss, personality disorders, intrusive thoughts, suicidal ideation, and other high-risk behaviors. I also support clients navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, work-related stress, getting “unstuck,” and personal development goals.
My clinical experience spans behavioral and neurodevelopmental concerns (ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, conduct and oppositional defiant disorders, DMDD, and intermittent explosive disorder), mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and complex trauma, grief and loss, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, psychotic disorders, substance use and addictive behaviors, and personality, relationship, and communication challenges. I also work with clients experiencing life stressors, motivation challenges, difficult family dynamics, and foster family support.
I would describe my therapy style as warm, direct, collaborative, and validating. I aim to balance structure with flexibility depending on each client’s needs. My approach is integrative, drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT, including trauma-informed techniques), and person-centered therapy, along with other evidence-based approaches tailored to each client.
In the first few sessions, clients can expect a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where we get to know each other, explore the concerns that brought them to therapy, and begin collaboratively identifying goals. Together, we work on developing coping strategies, building emotional regulation skills, improving communication, and fostering personal growth.
I believe that trust, mutual respect, and collaboration are the most important parts of the therapeutic relationship. Creating a safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered allows for honest exploration and meaningful growth. Clients often share that they find therapy with me grounding, motivating, supportive, and empowering, helping them gain clarity and perspective while feeling comfortable opening up.
