About My Work

I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring both past and present experiences at their own pace. I work primarily with adults and older teens, as well as parents and couples, who are navigating trauma, anxiety, parenting challenges, pregnancy-related transitions, and major life stressors. My goal is to help clients build effective coping skills, emotional resilience, and a deeper understanding of how their experiences have shaped them.

Much of my work focuses on supporting individuals impacted by trauma in all its forms, including childhood trauma, sexual abuse or assault, domestic violence, and other painful or overwhelming experiences. I also work with clients who want to better understand how past experiences continue to influence their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self today. I approach this work with compassion, curiosity, and respect, always meeting clients where they are rather than rushing the process.

My therapy style is laid-back, supportive, and client-centered. I strive to create an environment that feels safe and welcoming, where clients can be themselves and move at a pace that feels manageable. In our work together, sessions are guided by your goals, allowing space to process difficult experiences while also developing practical tools to support day-to-day functioning, stress management, and emotional growth.

I draw from trauma-informed, person-centered, narrative, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and emotion-focused approaches, tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs. Early sessions focus on building comfort with the therapy process, getting to know you, and understanding what you hope to achieve. Trust and safety are central to my work, and I believe meaningful progress happens when clients feel supported and understood.

Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up with me and talking about experiences they may not have shared elsewhere. I hope clients feel seen for their strengths as well as their struggles, and that they know I am there to celebrate progress and wins—both big and small.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading as a way to unwind and escape, going to the gym and weightlifting, and spending time with interests that bring joy and balance to my life—including a love for cows and Legos. I am also a parent to a 16-year-old son and have done my own trauma work, which gives me a deep appreciation for how difficult and vulnerable the healing process can be. I understand how hard it can be to start therapy, and my goal is to offer a steady, supportive presence as you work toward healing and growth.
