Hello there! My name is Aaliyah Jasper. I am a Master of Social Work student in my last year at Saginaw Valley State University. My background includes working with children on the spectrum as a behavior technician and working with all ages in a short-term psychiatric center as a mental health technician.
I am open to working with people from a variety of backgrounds and differing identities.
I offer a safe, grounded, welcoming space free of judgment where you can freely express yourself. I prioritize developing rapport and building a strong therapeutic relationship especially at the beginning of services.
My approach is very person-focused and strengths-based. In work, I draw from modalities such as ACT, CBT, trauma-informed care and mindfulness-based practices to help best support you and meet you where you are at.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family and my four cats. I enjoy listening to music, traveling, eating good food and reading.
