About my work

I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, and acute stress responses, and who are motivated to better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. I especially enjoy working with anxious and neurodivergent individuals who are curious, open to learning, and eager for growth, self-improvement, and self-development.

Clients most often come to me feeling overwhelmed by excessive fear, worry, or dread related to daily life, as well as challenges with attention, organization, impulsivity, and follow-through associated with ADHD. I also support individuals who have experienced a single, distressing event that has led to temporary physical and emotional symptoms, such as heightened stress, anxiety, or difficulty feeling grounded.

In addition to my primary specialties, I regularly work with concerns related to decision-making, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and navigating personal or professional growth. I am especially passionate about supporting African American clients, students, and professionals as they work toward clarity, confidence, and balance.

My therapy style is warm, supportive, skill-based, and transformative. I focus on helping clients build insight while also developing practical tools they can use in everyday life. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to your individual needs, goals, and pace.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), psychodynamic therapy, strengths-based approaches, mindfulness-based techniques, and Trauma-Focused CBT. This integrative approach allows therapy to be flexible, personalized, and effective.

Clients can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, supported, and equipped with practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges. Together, we build a therapy plan that fits your needs, with a strong emphasis on therapeutic rapport, open feedback, and active engagement to support positive and lasting outcomes.

I believe the most important part of the therapeutic relationship is the emotional and collaborative bond between client and therapist. This connection creates safety, builds confidence, and allows space to explore difficult emotions while working toward meaningful and sustainable change.
