About My Work

I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, addiction and recovery, anxiety, depression, grief, emotional regulation challenges, relationship concerns, family dysfunction, identity exploration, and major life transitions.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassion, authenticity, and meaningful human connection. I strive to create a space where clients feel emotionally safe, genuinely understood, and free from judgment.

I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who have spent much of their lives in survival mode and are learning how to reconnect with themselves in healthier, more compassionate ways. I also work closely with individuals experiencing high-functioning or “functional” substance use disorders — people who may appear successful, capable, or “fine” on the outside while privately struggling with emotional pain, shame, exhaustion, or addiction behind the scenes.

As a parent and a person in long-term recovery, I bring both professional knowledge and lived understanding into my work. I understand how difficult it can be to begin again, ask for help, or imagine a different way forward. My goal is to help clients feel less alone while building practical tools, deeper self-understanding, and renewed hope for healing and growth.

My clinical style integrates trauma-informed therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, strengths-based interventions, and holistic wellness practices. I often incorporate reflective writing, journaling, expressive arts, mindfulness, and nature-based grounding techniques when they align with a client’s goals and interests.

I have experience supporting individuals impacted by different stages of addiction and recovery, trauma, chronic emotional invalidation, family dysfunction, incarceration and reintegration experiences, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and challenges related to identity, purpose, and rebuilding life after difficult experiences. Additionally. I  have a great working knowledge of the Twelve Steps of Recovery.

In our first sessions, we will focus on building trust, clarifying your goals, and creating a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, collaborative, and supportive. Therapy moves at a pace that respects your comfort level while helping identify patterns, strengths, and practical pathways toward healing.

I believe therapy is not about perfection — it is about reconnecting with yourself, developing self-compassion, and creating a life that feels more authentic, meaningful, and aligned with who you are becoming.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy painting, reflective writing, mindfulness practices, spending time in nature, and exploring creative approaches to healing and self-expression. I value creativity deeply and believe healing can happen in many forms.
