Andy Grossmeyer, BA, MSW Intern

Belicia Bridges is a BSW graduate and a MSW grad student. She graduated from Gull Lake High School in Richland Michigan. Belicia was in the Kalamazoo Children's Chorus for 10 years. Belicia attended SVSU where she graduated with her BSW and continues her education for her MSW. She interned at Shelterhouse where she worked with victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. There she was exposed to TREM a trauma recovery empowerment model group for women.

Ian graduated in 2023 with his BSW and is in the MSW graduate program at SVSU. He completed a field placement at Children's Grief Center, with experience in children's and adult's grief support groups. He is also ASIST trained. Ian enjoys use of humor when indicated during his sessions.

Danielle worked at the Midland County Juvenile Care Center for 15 years working with at-risk youth ages 11-17. She is currently working as a substitute teacher and at a local flower shop. Danielle has training in Cognitive Behavior training, trauma, problem-solving, and skill-building. Danielle received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University in 2009. She is currently in the second year of her MSW program at Saginaw Valley State University. Outside of work and school, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband and kids. During her free time, she enjoys golfing, camping, fishing, trailing riding, and spending time at the cabin in the UP.

Andy is a Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate student at SVSU. He graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at SVSU in 2021. Before interning at Human Kind, they interned at the LGBTQ+ Programs and Services office as well as the MSW Department at SVSU. Andy has completed and facilitated the SafeZone training, an educational LGBTQ+ sensitivity training. He is passionate about fostering genuine connections at the individual, group, and community levels. In their free time, Andy loves to hang out with his cat Beans, play Dungeons & Dragons, and watch cartoons.
